A Message from the Outgoing President, Roxana Eli
Dear Beloved Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel Family,
As the year comes to an end, I find myself reflecting with immense gratitude on the privilege it has been to serve as your president. These final days of my presidency are bittersweet, as they mark the conclusion of a chapter that has been among the most meaningful and transformative in my life.
Leading this extraordinary community—one of the largest and most vibrant Sephardic congregations in the nation—has been an honor and a blessing. Together, we have celebrated simchas, weathered challenges, and strengthened our bonds as a temple family. Every moment of this journey has been shaped by your unwavering commitment and love for our shared traditions and future.
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you. To our clergy, Rabbi Cohen and Cantor Mizrahi, thank you for your wisdom and spiritual leadership, which have inspired us all. To Avi Levy and the entire staff, your tireless work behind the scenes has ensured that our events and services shine. To the board of directors, thank you for your vision, partnership, and dedication in supporting the growth and vitality of our temple. And to our entire community, thank you for entrusting me with this sacred responsibility.
I am especially proud to have served as your first elected female president, a role I approached with an open heart and a steadfast commitment to strengthening the foundation of our beloved STTI for future generations. As I prepare to step down, I am filled with confidence and excitement for the future of our community under the capable and dedicated leadership of our incoming president, Josh Marehbian. Having worked closely with Josh, I know his vision, passion, and love for this community will guide us to even greater heights. I encourage you all to give him the same warmth and support that you have so generously given me.
Though my presidency is concluding, my devotion to this community remains unwavering. I look forward to remaining an active and devoted member of this community and supporting its future successes.
Wishing you all a year filled with health, happiness, and blessings. Thank you for making these years as your president unforgettable.
With love and gratitude,
Roxana Eli
President, Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel
