SECOND SUNDAY BOOK CLUB
a free virtual get-together for adults
Dear Sephardic Temple Tifereth Israel and wider community,
Please join me for our Temple book club for adults in Zoom. This is a no-fuss, low-stress opportunity to get together and talk about whatever you’re currently reading, Jewish or not. No books will be assigned for the whole group to read. No preparation is required. You just share your own reading and discover lots of new material you might want to read, too. We do not record the sessions. I lead the group and send participants a list of what was discussed.
Why Second Sunday? The book club meets at 1:00 pm for an hour or two on the second Sunday of the month. We break for the summer in July and August. Here are the upcoming meeting dates through the end of 2026:
- September 6 (the FIRST Sunday so as not to overlap with Rosh Hashanah)
- October 11
- November 8
- December 13
If you’d like to attend the book club, email me at library@sephardictemple.org so I can send you the Zoom link. Your friends are welcome too – just let me know if they’d like to come. If you’ve never joined a Zoom meeting before, I’m happy to walk you through it before we meet.
We are still living through tough times, and the Second Sunday Book Club participants have found that it offers both food for thought as well as a welcome break from the news. So come try it out!
